AERIAL ADVENTURE PARK FAQ
Can pregnant women participate in the activities at the Aerial Adventure Park?
This activity is not recommended for women who are pregnant. If they choose to participate, it is recommended that they consult their doctor prior to their visit. If we are unable to properly fit the harness, we cannot allow participation.
Do I have to be really fit to do the course?
Most people that lead an active lifestyle and are in good health should not have any difficulty in completing many of the ropes courses in the Aerial Challenge Course. You are able to proceed at a pace that is comfortable to you, and you can exit the course at many locations. You are also welcome to leave the ropes course and take a break. There are 4 levels of challenge that get more difficult the higher you climb.
Zip Line Tours will require some uphill and downhill hiking.
What is the time duration of the activities?
Aerial Challenge Course wristbands are valid for three hours. You are encouraged to be prepared prior to buying your tickets (ie. restrooms, snacks and dressed properly) so you can maximize your time in the park. Keep in mind that ticket sales end at 4:00 pm and the Aerial Challenge Course closes at 6pm. You’re welcome at any time to leave the Park boundaries and return back to the park during your session.
Zip Line Tours are approximately 1.5 – 2 hours in length depending on the size of the tour.
Is the Aerial Adventure Park certified?
The Trollhaugen Aerial Adventure Park is built to the standards of the ACCT (Association for Challenge Course Technology) specifications.
What food services are available?
The snack bar inside the Adventure Lodge has grab and go snacks and drinks. Drinks are also available through vending machines. You are welcome to bring your own coolers for non-alcoholic beverages. No glass bottles please.
We also have a catering menu for groups of 8 or more. Click this link for more information on group catering.
What clothing should I wear? Sunscreen? Bug Spray?
Wear well-fitting clothing that does not allow anything to hang loose or get tangled in cables and rope. Long hair and jewelry should be secured, or left in a car. Sneakers or hiking shoes are recommended. Flip-flops and sandals are not appropriate and will not be allowed.
It may also make sense to use bug spray and/or sunscreen. Please make sure that all sprays are dry prior to putting on your harness.
Can the rope courses operate in the rain?
The Aerial Adventure Park can still be fun while it is raining. However, there will be a park delay for thunderstorms, heavy rain, and high winds. Refunds or credits will not be given unless the Aerial Adventure Park suspends operations for the remainder of the day.
What equipment is provided?
A harness, lanyards, trolley, carabiners, helmet and gloves are provided with your admission. With the exception of gloves, you may not bring your own equipment for usage. Please call ahead to share any special equipment considerations.
Are private or group lessons available?
All participants will be provided adequate training, so lessons are not required. If desired, arrangements can be made to hire a guide. If interested, please call ahead to make sure that one is available. Guides are there to maintain the physical and emotional safety of participants. For some individuals it is just more fun to climb with another person. Guides can provide access to courses that are rated "with adult" for that age category if there are no guardians in the courses with your child. The cost of a guide is based on hourly commitment and required needs. Please call 72 hours in advance to make arrangements.
