We use the internationally acclaimed American Teaching Method. ATM is a student centered method that allows the student to progress at their own pace while experiencing the thrill of skiing/snowboarding.

Trollhaugen Little Troll and Troll Programs give young winter enthusiasts a fun and supervised experience with trained instructors at an exceptional value. Skiers: ages 4-12. and Boarders: ages 8-12. Trollhaugen offers a 1-hour private lesson (per instructor availability) for 3-year old skiers or 5-6 year old snowboarders during Little Troll hours for the special price of $35.00 (or adding $10 to desired ticket/lesson/rental package), depending on instructor availability

PRE-School Ski School Program:
Interested in helping your 4-5 year old learn how to ski, or just having some fun out on the snow? We have the perfect program for you and your children with the Trollhaugen Pre-School Ski School. The class is for children ages 4 and 5 and must be accompanied by an adult with some skiing experience. An instructor will teach children the FUNdamentals of skiing, with the assistance of their adults.
The Class meets 4 Tuesdays in February. The cost of the class is $80. This includes child and adult lift and rental, and the lesson. Also includes a complimentary hot chocolate after the lesson.

With the purchase of a lift ticket and rental package, receive a FREE beginner lesson (ages 13+). Length of lesson dependant on class size, typically 1 hour in length.

Registration is at 9:45am
Lessons begin at 10am with your instructor helping you get started with the correct equipment and set up, before hitting the slopes.
Lunch will be taken around 12pm with your instructor in the Lounge or the Kaffe Stuga.
After lunch you have 2 more hours of instruction on the hill.
After your lesson is completed you can head up to the Lounge or Kaffe Stuga again for a complimentary beverage and your lesson debriefing.

Adaptive Lessons return to top
Trollhaugen is offering Adaptive lessons 7 days / week the 2011-12 season by appointment. Reservations are required and accepted in the order they are received.
The types of lesssons with equipment include: three track, four track, mono-ski, bi-ski, and other devices which provide opportunities for skiing.
It is suggested that each student bring along a companion skier or "ski buddy", who also receives a lift ticket and equipment rental (included in the pricing). The Ski Buddy must ski with the student and may be asked to assist with the lesson in some way.

All reservations must be made a minimum of fourteen (14) days prior to the date of the lesson. Lessons are approximately 3 hours in length from 9am - 12pm or 1pm to 7pm on non-Courage Center days. Half day sessions are $75.00 and full day sessions are $135.
In addition the COURAGE CENTER ski and snowboard season starts the week of Jan. 12 at Trollhaugen***
